For me, art is an expression of thoughts, beliefs and life values, an opportunity to make a positive influence on people regardless of their language, religious beliefs, or political views.
I, Andriy Kopchak, have been an artist all my conscious life. I began my creative career with the Black and White Play exhibition in 1999. Eventually, I shifted my attention to oil painting, and it gradually became my predominant means of self-expression. The resulting synthesis of graphics and oil painting has shaped my signature style in art.
As I see it, an artist lives his or her life observing and commenting on the surrounding world. Observation is the basis of the symbolic subject matter of my paintings, poetry, and even fairy tales. I am constantly choosing themes, perspectives, details to focus on, ways to embody my world outlook on canvas. At times, it is difficult to fully express an idea in a single picture, so it takes a series of paintings to go into the subject more deeply.
My concept in art is Symbols, Emotions, Thoughts. The target audience for my paintings is art lovers who are eager to reflect on life experience and are open to new ideas. Work in the field of art is my favorite occupation, a means of my self-expression through creative work, and also my inner need.
